Similar to other Scottish schools pupils are able to leave after the fourth year of schooling, therefore fifth and sixth year are non compulsory. The school is famous to having a link to the community of Mount Dora in Florida. The school also has a journalism group called "FANG" (Forres Academy News Group) which is very successful with stories produced being featured in both local to county newspapers. ==Description of School== Forres Academy provides students with many good quality facilities in which to work from such as multiple gymnasiums to a highly equipped music corridor which provides students with the equipment and facilities to make music. The school has all the facilities you would expect a hall, a canteen (The Neetnac), multiple computer rooms and cooking areas for H.E students.
